The brown sugar helps a lot with ingrown hair. Its gentle and wont hurt the skin. Rub it in with circular motions and rinse.
The way to prevent ingrown hair is to apply antiseptic lotion (like something with Tea Tree Oil) after shaving or waxing – this prevents the open pores to get infected. 5 days later you should start exfoliating every second day and until the hair start being visible again.
